Blades

GEORGE and HANNAH BLADES had the following children:

1. William BLADES (bpt 1811 in Appleton le Street NRY)
2. George BLADES (bpt and died in Appleton le Street NRY)
3. GEORGE BLADES (bpt 1813 in Swinton NRY), an agricultural labourer died in 1876 in Nafferton.  He had married SUSANNAH STORRY in 1833 in Burton Agnes and they had the following children.
   1. Jane Storry BLADES (bpt 1835 in Nafferton) died in 1869.   She had married John Knaggs in 1855 in Nafferton and they had the following children:
      1. Harriet KNAGGS (born c1856)
      2. George KNAGGS (born c1858)
      3. Jane A KNAGGS (born c1862)
         After Jane's death John married Mary Annie Grieve in 1870 in Hull and they had the following children:

      6. Alice Knaggs (born 1874 in Nafferton)

   2. John BLADES (bpt 1837 in Nafferton), a cartman/labourer who married firstly Mary Gardham in 1862 in Newland, Hull and secondly Ann.   His children were:
      1. George BLADES (born c1864 in Kirbyunderdale)
      2. Ann E BLADES (born c1865 in Kirbyunderdale)
      3. Jane BLADES (bpt 1867 in Newland)
      4. Sarah Jane BLADES (bpt 1868 in Newland)

      6. Edith Agnes BLADES (born c1875 in Newland) married Albert DIXON in 1894 in Newland)
   3. William BLADES (born 1839 in Nafferton), an agricultural labourer who died in 1932 in Driffield Workhouse.
   4. Thomas Storry BLADES (born 1841 in Nafferton), a labourer, married Sarah Eliza Nicholson in 1869 in Sculcoates.  Their children were:

      2. Jessie BLADES (born 1871 in Nafferton) who died in 1923 in Hull

   5. Paul BLADES (1843-1974 in Nafferton), a tailor, and his wife, Annie had one son:

   6. Jefferson BLADES (born c1846), a cordwainer/innkeeper, married Jane Amelia MEEKE in 1873 in Nafferton.  Their children were:
